Counselling and psychotherapy in Willesden Green, Kilburn North West London

Welcome to my website, my name is Teresa Sinani (formerly Kain). I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor based in Willesden Green, North West London. I have worked in human services for over 20 years, for the past 10 years working primarily as a psychotherapist and counsellor. Please see my 'About Me' page to find out about my skills, experience and qualifications.

I see clients who turn to therapy for a variety of reasons, we can all experience difficulties and emotional pain from time to time. It can feel lonely, confusing and even overwhelming trying to make sense of our emotional struggles.

Perhaps you are struggling with issues from the past which are impacting on your present life and you want to understand the deeper reasons for this. Or, it may be that you are feeling a lack of fulfilment and direction in life and want to explore what's getting in the way of you feeling more fulfilled and confident. Whatever the reason accessing some professional support at this point can be helpful.

I can appreciate that it's not always easy or doesn't feel appropriate to talk to family or friends. Therefore, a neutral, confidential, empathic space to talk and be listened too can be very helpful. The therapy space provides you with an outlet for your thoughts and feelings to help you make sense of them.

It is not uncommon when reaching out for professional support that you may feel like your weak or failing. We can often have high expectations of ourselves to be brave and get on with things. This coupled with the stigma around asking for help, means, we can feel we have to manage things on our own and not show vulnerability. This is slowly changing, with more awareness and compassion for seeking help with emotional difficulties and mental health issues. My belief has always been that it is a courageous step in being able to heal. It takes strength, openness and commitment.

I can provide you with a non-judgemental therapy space where your thoughts and feelings can be explored. Often people come to therapy because they have been struggling with the same issues over a period of time. Therapy helps you to identify patterns of thoughts, behaviours and feelings and find out where they originate from. The therapy relationship will help you to grow emotionally and develop your capacity for insight and self-awareness.

I have vast experience working with different clients groups in my professional life and embarked on extensive psychotherapy training. One of the biggest motivating factors in training to be a psychotherapist was due to my own personal experiences which has enabled me to grow and develop personally and professionally.

I am experienced working with a diverse range of clients presenting with a variety of issues, including; depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship issues and childhood trauma. I offer long-term psychotherapy and short-term counselling to adults on an one-to-one basis.

I work as a counsellor and psychotherapist in Willesden Green which is in North West London and very near Kilburn. My Willesden Green psychotherapy and counselling practice is 5 minutes walk from Willesden Green tube station and is near Cricklewood, Golders Green, Brent Cross, Kilburn, West Hampstead, and Maida Vale.
